I'm in the process of moving out of my tight office/apartment space into a real office space. As 2012 came to a close, I felt that the time was right to search for a place to have more of a division between between work and home. (Not that I'm quitting working at home!) After a comprehensive search, I found a small space at 6100 Keystone Avenue. The landlord gave me a sweet deal by including for free, renovation of a 400 square foot space with new carpet, fresh paint, and outlets in locations specified by me.
The office is laid out in a linear fashion with desk units made from dimensional lumber and medium density fiberboard. As desk tops, I used wood door slabs from Lowes. They make beautiful desk tops as they are clean slabs of wood that can be painted, stained, or simply clear coated. We chose the latter.
